Story
A tree was planted in Gladstone Park in memory of Martin. It is a Scarlet Oak and is positioned to be viewed from the bench. Trees played a big part in his work as a consulting engineer and he loved to be able to preserve them wherever possible.
A Scarlet Oak seems very representative of him somehow and I am hopeful his ashes being laid here will help this lovely tree to thrive.
